The general scope of work covers the supply of all labour, material, engineering, equipment and superintendence to undertake the following track projects on VIA’s Subdivisions:
2018 De-stressing Program
VIA Brockville Subdivision
(A) De-stressing of the existing CWR over 8.89 track miles on various locations of the VIA Brockville Subdivision;
VIA Beachburg Subdivisions
(B) De-stressing of the existing CWR over 3.57 track miles on various locations of the VIA Beachburg Subdivision;
In order to submit a tender the Tenderer must be able to comply with the follwing mandatory criteria:
1)Tenderer has the following minimal insurance coverage:
a)Commercial General Liability Insurance of $25,000,000 per occurrence with a global policy aggregate of $50,000,000;
b)Standard Owners Form Automobile Liability Insurance of [$5,000,000];
c)All Risks insurance policy
2) Be present at the mandatory conference call on March 9, 2018, 9:30AM Eastern Time 1-877-385-4099 #7442114
3)Provide proof of ability to provide
a)Letter of Credit
Or
b)Bond Requirement as percentage of Contract Prices:
Bid Bond 10%, Performance Bond – 50% and Labour & Material Payment Bond – 50%
4)Tenderer must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in track construction and maintenance.
5)Project manager must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.
Track Program Supervisor must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in track construction or maintenance.
6)All works must be completed no later than one ninety (90) calendar days after contract award.
