Description:
The University is expecting to contract with a supplier to provide 2 Particle size analyzing systems (Multi-sizer Device System and Particle Sizing/Zeta Potential Analyzer) for material and biological cell characterization applications in the biomedical engineering field. Particle analysis work requires a system controlled for contamination that could affect the interpretation of data on cell toxicity and the performance of drug payloads, as well as systems having versatility for particle size analytics (important in defining drug dosing, electrical charges that influence protein and cell interactions, and properly identifying cell phenotypes from multi-cell type mixtures). The latter are critical for the research to go forward.

Time-Frame for Delivery/Duration of Agreement:
The term of the agreement is to be for a period of one (1) year, with an option in favour of the University to extend the Agreement on the same terms and conditions for four (4) additional terms of up to one (1) year each. It is anticipated that the agreement will be executed around January, 2018.

Negotiation:
At the end of the evaluation process, the University of Toronto may identify one or more suppliers with whom it wishes to enter into negotiations, by written notification.
