Description

The University requires a large (300 mm diameter) cyclic simple shear system with modules for smaller scale and multidirectional cyclic simple shear testing. The system will be used for research on liquefaction susceptibility of gravelly soils, sand and silt mixtures, and tailings materials. It will be used for developing lateral stress measurement capabilities and assessing the influence of specimen size on measured cyclic response of soils.
