Description

The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal the University’s intention to award a contract for the above-noted goods and/or services to the pre-selected supplier:

Prior to awarding this contract, the University is providing other potential Suppliers with the opportunity to demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the requirements as per this ACAN, by submitting a Statement of Capabilities during the 25 calendar day posting period.

The University of Toronto's Molecular Genetics Department is looking to upgrade the two Bruker Avance 600MHz and 800MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (“NMR”) spectrometers of Professor Lewis Kay with 19Fluorine (19F) observable (1H/19F, 13C, 15N, 2H),5mm, XYZ Pulsed Field Gradient Cryoprobes (the “Cryoprobes”).
The upgrade will provide the department with the capability to study large proteins using NMR techniques that exploit 19F-13C magnetic interaction effects at high magnetic fields.
