Description:
The Biological Sciences Facility (BSF) at the Ramsay Wright Zoological Labs is a multifaceted animal vivarium that supports both research and teaching initiatives at the University of Toronto.
The vivarium is undergoing a major renovation with subsequent equipment upgrades. A custom designed automatic rodent watering system is essential for the renovation project and operation of the vivarium, thereafter.
The BSF is seeking a qualified respondent to supply a stainless steel automatic rodent watering system designed for ten (10) rodent housing rooms, which will deliver drinking water to a minimum of two (2) individual IVC racks per rodent housing room.
The watering system must be designed for laboratory animal water applications and efficiently deliver consistent, high quality, variable-free drinking water to the laboratory rodents.
The automated watering system shall consist of a water purification and treatment system, a central controller system, a permanent water distribution system, pressure reducing stations, automated flush system, detachable recoil supply and drain houses with quick disconnect couplings, and capability to sanitize the system.
An option to establish post-warranty preventative and corrective maintenance services after the standard warranty period should also be included.
It’s essential that the respondent that supplies the equipment can also provide a prompt response to trouble shooting and on-site support when needed.

2.2 Mandatory Requirements
2.2.1 Rectification
Respondents submitting responses that do not meet the mandatory requirements will be provided an opportunity prior to the Rectification Date to rectify deficiencies.
2.2.2 Submission Form
Each quotation must include a Submission Form (Appendix B) completed and signed by the respondent.
2.2.3 Quotation Form
Each quotation must include a Quotation Form (Appendix C) completed according to the instructions contained in the form.
2.2.4 Rectification Date
Responses satisfying the mandatory requirements before the Rectification Date will proceed to the Rated Criteria evaluation phase.Responses failing to satisfy the mandatory requirements will be excluded from further consideration.
