The project consists of interior renovations to accommodate a new Retail space. The work includes an interior renovation of approximately 1000 ft² on the third floor of the Mathematics & Computer Building. The renovations will generally include asbestos abatement, new storefront, mechanical, electrical and interior finishes. The Work is identified as WR#44905 Print+Retail Solutions Refresh – Phase 1, also known as Project No. 122108, as prepared by the Consultant, IBI Architects.
General Contractors are invited to bid provided they demonstrate that they are currently on a Vendor of Record list for any Post-secondary Education Institution or Publicly Funded School Board for projects over $250,000 in construction value (excl HST). Scope of work includes renovations within an occupied building with Type III Asbestos Abatement requiring detailed phasing and hoarding plans to be prepared by the Contractor. General contractors to provide a completed CCDC 11 –2016 form listing a minimum of three projects with similar complexity and scope. Bidders shall provide a WSIB CAD 7 certificate indicating injury statistics for the last 5 years. References and Health and Safety Program details will be requested from the shortlisted bidders.
