Description

The University of Calgary (UCalgary) is requesting proposals for an x- ray spectroscopy instrument (XPS). The XPS System must consist of, but not be limited to, the following major components, complete with all software, hardware, peripherals and interfacing necessary to make a fully integrated system, including a computer system and software, a data processing system, a sample introduction system, a monochromatic x-ray source, capabilities for scanning Auger microscopy, capabilities of ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy, capabilities for elemental mapping, a system for charge neutralization, capabilities for sample sputtering, a tilting stage, a chiller, all connections to the instrument, system implementation and training, service and support, system performance specifications.

The system will be used for materials characterization as part of CFI-funded research.
