2023PRQ0006 - Request for Prequalification Emissions Offsets/Emission Performance Credits

The purpose of this prequalification is to ensure that Proponents invited to bid can provide quality and value-based carbon offsets. Through this prequalification process, Proponents will demonstrate to the University that they have the necessary registered carbon offset type, vintage, and volume. Successful Proponents in this process will be placed on a “Preferred Suppliers List” (Carbon Offsets) for tendering purposes. This PRQ process is designed to populate the above noted list. Proponents who are selected for the Preferred Supplier List will be eligible to participate in procurements for future Emission Offsets (EO) and/or Emissions Performance Credits purchases. The intent is to have an appropriate number of prequalified Proponents for the various terms and credit amounts. Multiple Proponents will therefore be selected to purchase carbon offsets from under this prequalification process. It is anticipated that the successful Proponents be invited to bid approximately in Fall 2023.
