Description

The University of Calgary intends to purchase a medium-sized laboratory steam sterilizer from Steris Canada. This new system is required for comparative studies using wild animals at the Spyhill campus and will be used by the International Microbiome Centre (IMC) research program, which currently has a similar Steris autoclave in its germ-free (gnotobiotic) facility at the Foothills campus. It is necessary to use a similar Steris autoclave as consistency in the sterilization process is essential for IMC research conducted at the two sites.
