Description

Wheel-Trans provides door-to-door accessible transit
service for people with mobility restrictions using
accessible buses, contracted accessible and sedan
meter-based taxis within the City of Toronto for a regular
TTC fare.
The TIC intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)
for its Wheel-Trans Accessible Taxi and Sedan Meter.
Sased Taxi services contracts. TIC will be soliciting from
interested parties, service contracts that would provide
specialized accessible transportation service to the
registered customers of the Wheel-Trans Division of the
TTC.
Due to the complexity of the evaluations and the high
profile nature of these contracts, it was deemed
beneficial that TTC retain a Fairness Monitor to oversee
the procurement process, including evaluations, and the
selection of the preferred proponent.
The term of the Contract shall be for a 2-year period and
will commence upon Notification of Award.
