Bids will be received up to 1500 hours, local time, March 29, 2023, for the above-referenced project.
The work will consist generally of the construction of a pile supported concrete marginal wharf measuring approximately 15 metres wide by 120 metres long: including, development of the adjacent upland, site lighting, shore power, and parking area. The work will also involve the demolition of a three-storey (1632m²) concrete building with steel siding and the existing treated timber wharf, measuring approximately 15 metres wide by 120 metres long. The project is located on the southside of the harbour, more specifically at Piers 20/21 (130 Southside Road).
A tender document, detailing project parameters, pertinent terms of references information and detailed drawings, can be obtained online through MERX, or by e-mail only through this e-mail address (lguy@sjpa-apsj.com) upon payment of a $50.00 (HST included) non-refundable fee. Tenders must be delivered to the Port Authority Office, located at 1 Water Street prior to the specified deadline. E-mailed bids will not be accepted. Tenderers are advised that only those who have obtained the tender documents through the noted e-mail address and/or MERX will be eligible to bid on this project. Plans and specifications may also be viewed at the St. John’s Office of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association.
The St. John’s Port Authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any, tender.
