INVITATION TO TENDER
2022 Structural Repairs
Piers 18 & 19-21, St. John’s Harbour
Bids will be received up to 1500 hours, local time, August 12th, 2022, for the above-referenced project.
The structural repair works on Pier 18 will consist generally of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the supply of all necessary plant, labour, equipment, and materials to complete concrete repairs, asphalt walkway repairs, steel walkway support repairs, pipe support repairs, and fender panel removal and replacement.
The structural repair works on Piers 19-21 will consist generally of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the supply of all necessary plant, labour, equipment, and materials to complete concrete retaining wall undermining repairs, concrete subdeck repairs, concrete beam repairs, concrete caisson repairs, aluminum guardrail repairs and wooden post repairs.
Plans, specifications, and tender documents can be obtained online through Merx, or by e-mail only through this e-mail address (lguy@sjpa-apsj.com) upon payment of a $50.00 (HST included) non-refundable fee. Tenders must be delivered to the Port Authority Office, located at 1 Water Street, prior to the specified deadline. E-mailed bids will not be accepted. Tenderers are advised that only those contractors who have obtained the tender documents through Merx or the noted e-mail address will be eligible to bid on this project. Plans and specifications may also be viewed at the St. John’s office of the Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association.
Given the current situation with COVID-19 there will be no public opening of tenders, results will be e-mailed to the bidders immediately following the tender opening.
The St. John’s Port Authority does not bind itself to accept the lowest, or any, tender.
