Description

This Request for Proposals (“RFP”) is an invitation by Simon Fraser University (“SFU”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of an Electronic Health Record System as further described in PART 2 – THE DELIVERABLES (the “Deliverables”).

SFU is a comprehensive public university located in British Columbia, Canada. Established in 1965, SFU has been ranked as one of Canada’s top three comprehensive universities for nearly 20 years.

SFU's Health and Counselling Services (HCS) department supports all campuses and is comprised of 3 tightly integrated multidisciplinary teams supported by a team of Medical Office Assistants (MOAs) to provide care for students/patients/clients (‘student’). HCS has been using our current electronic health record system (EMR) since 2008.

HCS has the following core needs:

Student engagement via online channels to increase accessibility to services / resources and minimize workload on HCS staff
Secure technology to protect students' personal identifiable information (PII) and support virtual care while complying with standard information security regulations (including compliance with the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act -FIPPA)
Automation and integration with external systems to minimize workload on HCS staff
Intuitive Interfaces to reduce learning curves and increase efficiency
Ability to capture accurate and complete data to build knowledge and increase proactivity
