This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation (“SaskPower”) to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Nipawin – Maintenance Outpost, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the “ Work”).
SaskPower is a Saskatchewan Crown Corporation continued under The Power Corporation Act (Saskatchewan). It is principally responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity for most of Saskatchewan.
SaskPower requires the construction of a 10,920 sq. ft. (1,014 sq. m.) building and related site work to serve the Nipawin SaskPower staff.
A high-level overview of the Work is as follows:
The building is approximately 2,336 sq. ft. (217 sq. m.) of office and 8,584 sq. ft. (797 sq. m.) of shop space. The building is required to be serviced with electricity, well water, fibre, SaskTel, septic, and gas. The site will also require a fire water storage tank and hydrants for site fire fighting. Other related site work will include secured gravel compound, staff and visitor parking and required servicing, site surfacing, exterior lighting, site access, landscaping and other work detailed in the Technical Specifications and the Drawings outlined within this RFP.
The proposed facility will be located on an owned 3.6-acre green site field seven (7) kilometers south of Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
