The City of North Vancouver (“CNV”) is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for experienced full-service library materials vendors to supply library materials in various print and audio/visual formats.  

The City of North Vancouver (“CNV”) is requesting responses to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for experienced full-service library materials vendors to supply library materials in various print and audio/visual formats (with the exception of e-materials, periodicals, and newspapers). Supply: On average, the North Vancouver City Library receives approximately 12,000 print and audio/visual items from a variety of materials vendors each year. All materials supplied are to be processed and catalogued according to library specifications. The collection mandate of the North Vancouver City Library is to provide materials that reflect the informational, educational, and recreational needs of our customers. Therefore, we seek to develop collections that are popular in nature and address aspects of life-long learning and literacy. The types of resources that we require from full-service vendors include print and audio-visual materials for adults, children and teens. We anticipate establishing a number of automatic release plans (ARPs) for collections such as adult fiction in addition to collection profiles for areas such as paperbacks, ELL, multilingual, DVDs, and various non-fiction subject divisions (e.g. true-crime, pet-care, etc.).
