Description

Detailed Description* RFB for the delivery and update, as necessary, of a virtual Health and Safety Basics Training Course. The training provides an overview of health and safety concerns as well as safe work practices and the necessary information for the recognition, evaluation and control of hazards that field staff may encounter in the course of their work. This mandatory training is required under the Ministry’s Health & Safety Governance Model and ensures that the Ministry is compliant with the Occupational Health & Safety Act. This training is mandatory for all Ministry field staff working towards their Provincial Officer designation and must be completed every three (3) years.
Scope of Work
The Ministry is seeking a vendor to deliver and update, as necessary, mandatory Health and Safety Basics training course for front-line field staff. The Ministry is committed to promoting a healthy and safe working environment for its entire staff and is continuously looking at ways to reduce or eliminate risks and improve safety while Ministry staff are conducting their daily responsibilities. As such, the Ministry’s health and safety policy as well as obligations of the Employer under the OHSA require Participants to be provided with training which educates them on general health and safety legislation and their responsibilities while performing their jobs. As soon as possible. The training is hosted on a virtual platform (i.e. Teams or Zoom)
