Description

Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump is an ancient cultural place in Blackfoot territory, an important archeological site with research revealing more than 8,000 years of history, and a premiere Indigenous tourism attraction with operations based at an Interpretive Centre that is open year-round. The site is an internationally marketed tourism destination that receives visitors from local, regional, national and international origins.

As a World Heritage Site, high-quality visitor experiences are supported by a range of services delivered at varying levels through the year. Under direction and with the support of site staff with ACSW, the Visitor Services functions delivered at the site by contracted staff include contract staff coordination, admissions, program bookings, visitor information, gift shop sales, interpretation programming, and guided tours.
