177842 - Notice of intent to contract for Outreach Supports

Notice is hereby given by Community Living British Columbia (CLBC), of its intent to enter into a contract with Nawican Friendship Centre to provide the following SERVICES to CLBC eligible individuals for its DAWSON CREAK MOBILE OUTREACH PROGRAM.

1. MOBILE OUTREACH – this service is to be delivered within a 50 km radius of Dawson Creek, B.C including the communities of Groundbirch, Peace Coupe, Fellers Heights, and Rolla. Several services will be embedded into the Mobile Outreach program, including but no limited to, the following:
 Crisis Intervention and Assistance
 Housing Support
 Provision of Harm Reduction Supplies and Support
 Naloxone Training and Supplies
 Substance Abuse Treatment and Detox Referrals and Assistance
 Opioid Agonist Treatment referrals
 Provision of Mobile Wound Care and Emergency Medical Assessments
 Community Resource Referrals
 Community Sharps Removal
 Provision of Healthy Food and Snacks
 Provision of Weather Appropriate Clothing/ Blankets
 Advocacy and mentorship support with connections to individuals with lived experience who provide support in navigating the medical and justice systems.

The total value of the contract to supply the above SERVICES is expected not to exceed a total contract value of $241,000 for the initial three (3) year contract period. The contract will be awarded for a period of three (3) years with an option to extend for with an option to extend for an indefinite number of years for so long as CLBC requires the above-referenced SERVICES and exercises the discretion to continue to contract with Nawican Friendship Centre.

Vendors wishing to object to this decision should submit in writing by facsimile or email to the contact identified above on or before 14:00PM Pacific Time on September 7, 2023 detailing specific reasons for the objection and proof of capability to deliver the required services.
