The Cloud Services (CS) procurement team within Enterprise IT Procurement (EITP) directorate at Shared Services Canada is seeking services of contract drafters.
CS provides procurement services to internal SSC clients, as well as partner and client departments, agencies, and various non-federal entities.
• Government-wide procurement vehicles (Framework Agreement and Framework Agreement 2.0)
• Major partner-led initiatives (e.g., ESDC Business Modernization Delivery (BDM))
• Procurements to satisfy cloud requirements for a wide variety of government organizations.
CS is responsible for developing innovative cloud procurement vehicles that provide the flexibility and benefits of the existing vehicles but are more agile and more outcome-based oriented, and will include mechanisms that will improve access to Cloud contracts for Small and Medium Business Enterprises (SMEs), and Enterprises owned by underrepresented groups and indigenous owned firms. CS drafts cloud agreement vehicles which aim to satisfy accessibility and official language requirements.
CS will also oversee important vendor engagement initiatives.
The sheer volume of procurement to be processed by CS is doubling every year. Also considering it is a new unit, there is a massive level of effort that needs to be dedicated to develop briefing material for EITP senior management. At present only a third of the positions at CS are staffed. The current demand for cloud procurement services from CS exceeds largely its capacity to deliver.
Objective
CS is looking for expertise in contract drafting in the context of public procurement, agile procurement, facilitation with vendors, and IT procurement.
Canada may award up to two (2) contracts for the work.
As part of Shared Services Canada Scale Up initiative, this procurement is a set-aside for micro and small businesses that are also indigenous businesses. ScaleUp is a social procurement initiative led by Shared Services Canada, in collaboration with TECHNATION, to increase the diversity of bidders on government contracts. Register on Canada's digital marketplace to increase your visibility and access even more future opportunities. It's free.
Although the webinar is not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you attend because we will be offering a more detailed explanation of the requirement and the steps to submit a bid, how to register for a Procurement Business Number (PBN), how to register for our Procurement to Pay (P2P) system, and it will also be a great opportunity for you to ask us questions.
