The University of Waterloo invites qualified companies to submit Proposals for an ePortfolio Solution, in accordance with the terms of this Request for Proposal (RFP). The University of Waterloo intends to select one vendor that meets or exceeds the Requirements identified in this RFP.
The ePortfolio Solution shall provide a platform to address the needs of current and future ePortfolio users. The ePortfolio Solution should allow students to provide evidence of their achievement of course and program outcomes and professional competencies, and to track this development over time. Additionally, some programs may require ePortfolios to support accreditation. The University of Waterloo is looking for an ePortfolio Solution that will support its learners’ academic, professional/career, and personal development goals. The ePortfolio Solution will help address the call for greater accountability in demonstrating student learning and competencies at the course, program and institutional levels, and in higher education circles in general.
The purpose of this RFP is to assess current market offerings for ePortfolio Solutions and to select a Successful Respondent who can provide and implement a robust, scalable, and long-term ePortfolio Solution technology that will optimally support the teaching and learning needs of University of Waterloo students and instructors. We are seeking a Respondent who sees this venture as a partnership with the University of Waterloo to help us implement an ePortfolio Solution that supports integrative learning, and is prepared to grow with us to address needs in this area as they arise over the initial four (4) year Agreement term and any subsequent Agreement renewals.
