RFP Background
The University of Waterloo requires telecommunication maintenance service that incorporates:
- The hardware and software components of one main campus Avaya CS 1000M Rel 7.65 switch (split-core), three CS1000B succession office switches, and three Avaya SMGs. This includes all associated equipment from the core to the shelf;
- The hardware and software components of the Avaya Call Pilot voicemail system (version 5.0, 2 X 1006r servers, high availability); and,
- The power equipment – System 600 Incl 5 X Rectifier 48V (50a).
Respondents must currently be an Avaya Platinum Partner.
Objectives
- uWaterloo wants to ensure continuous uninterrupted telephone service 24 X 7 for all main campus and three branch offices;
- uWaterloo wishes to be responsible for and continue to support all other services on campus including all moves, adds and changes of phone equipment and network equipment;
- uWaterloo would like to compare the cost benefits of a multi-year contract; a three year term, with an optional three years extension, are requested.
