Description

General Contractors are invited to bid provided they demonstrate that they are currently on a Vendor of Record list for any Post-secondary Education Institution or Publicly Funded School Board for projects over $2.5M in construction value (excl HST). Contractors to provide a completed CCDC 11 –2016 form listing a minimum of three projects with similar complexity and scope. Bidders shall provide a WSIB CAD 7 certificate indicating injury statistics for the last 5 years. References and Health and Safety Program details will be requested from the shortlisted bidders.

Project identified as UW work request number 40068 and Stantec Consulting project number 161011557: Replacement of Existing Transformers, Highvoltage cable, Switchgear, associated mechanical cooling equipment and the addition of one exterior pad mounted generator. Refer to Designated Substance Report prepared by Onpoint Consulting. (to be issued separately as an addendum)
Contractor to assume delivery of pre-purchased long lead items listed in Pre-tender description_2018.05.09__CD_IntallationTender.
All work to be substantially completed by Novemeber 13th 2018. All shut downs must take place between August 13th and August 31st 2018. Contractor shall review and plan shut downs with University of Waterloo Plant Operations.
Form of agreement shall be the CCDC2 -2008 edition complete with Owner Supplementary Conditions. (to be issued separately as an addendum)
