The University of Waterloo (“UW”) is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to measure the impact derived (direct, indirect and inferred) from its activities within and related to higher education, through such contexts as enrollment, employment, innovation, commercialization of new discoveries and company creation within a local, regional, provincial and national context in accordance with the terms of this Proposal Call.
UW is one of Canada’s leading comprehensive universities, with undergraduate and graduate programs in faculties of Applied Health Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Environment, Mathematics, and Science; and includes professional schools of Pharmacy, Optometry, Accounting and Architecture. UW is one of twenty provincially assisted universities in Ontario and offers North America’s largest co-operative education program. The UW community also includes four federated university colleges: St. Jeromes, Renison, St. Paul’s and Conrad Grebel; and associated research institutes, such as the Water Institute, Waterloo Institute of Nanotechnology (WIN), the Mike and Ophelia Lazaridis Quantum-Nano Centre, and the Schlegel Institute for Aging.
The report will inform the University and its stakeholders about the University of Waterloo’s significant impacts on the Kitchener-Waterloo region, the province and the country.
