Description:
Several deficiencies and nonconforming items have been identified in Ryerson’s South Bond Building (SBB) located at 105 Bond Street, Toronto Ontario. Ryerson requires the services of a Successful Proponent to rectify and upgrade the fire alarm system to address all nonconforming and deficient items as per the 2012 Ontario Building Code, including Amendment #1 and 2015 Ontario Fire Code.

The Fire Alarm system must be installed in conformance with CAN/ULC-S524-2006, “Standard for the Installation of Fire Alarm Systems”, and verified in conformance with CAN/ULC-S537-2004, “Standard for the Verification of Fire Alarm Systems”.

The primary objective of this Request for Proposal is for Ryerson to retain a Successful Proponent to provide Design-Build Services that include complete design development, construction and installation services in accordance with CCDC 14 – 2013, Design-Build Stipulated Price Contract, including Ryerson’s Supplementary Conditions.

To gain a better understanding of the existing site conditions and constraints, all Proponents are requested to attend the scheduled Site Visit and Information Session at 105 Bond Street, Toronto Ontario, scheduled for Thursday September 28, 2017 at 10:00 am. Proponents should plan to meet on the ground floor lobby. This site visit is not mandatory.
