Description

Laurentian University of Sudbury (the “University”) is soliciting Bids from general contractors to carry out the work (the “Project”) described in the Bid Documents at the Science 2B Building – Alumni Hall Kitchen (the “Place of the Work”). As described in Article 3.5 below, the process for Bid submission is a “two-stage” process and requires bidders to submit two (2) envelopes, both of which must be submitted on Thursday, July 13, 2017 (the “Closing Date”) and before the time specified in Article 3.5.

3.3 Bid Security, Performance Security and Insurance
3.3.1 Each Bid shall be accompanied by bid security in the form of either:
.1 a certified cheque or bank draft payable to the “Laurentian University of Sudbury” in the amount of $10,000.00; OR
.2 an irrevocable Letter of Credit in the amount of $10,000.00; OR
.3 a bid bond in the amount of $10,000.00 naming the Owner as obligee and issued by a surety licensed to conduct surety and insurance business in Canada. The bid bond shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the Submission Deadline.
