The Centennial College's current environment consists of two discreet data centers with geographic redundancy. These two locations provide core services to the other five campuses in GTA. The College supports over 45,000 students and 4,000 staff and faculty in Canada and across the world in a hybrid environment.
Centennial College has a Cybersecurity Council dedicated to the protection of college computer networking, software, and hardware. The council is comprised of the college Executive Team along with the Chief Information Security Officer and the Manager of Cybersecurity and Compliance.
The CSC determines cybersecurity policy, the purchasing of software, hardware and networking and the overall cybersecurity posture of Centennial College. This posture includes but is not limited to, protecting college websites, directories, data and privacy information, imparting cybersecurity education to students and employees, conducting penetration and phishing testing, managing logs, security events and patches, creating cybersecurity dashboards, removing malware and threats, and auditing and mitigating vulnerability and risk.
