The Ontario Securities Commission (“OSC”) is soliciting competitive proposals from respondents for GetSmarterAboutMoney.ca Calculators and Tools Development Services.

The potential scope of services to be provided under the contemplated engagement includes, but is not limited to:

Purpose. The Ontario Securities Commission (“OSC”) is soliciting competitive Proposals from respondents for the provision of calculator development services for the GetSmarterAboutMoney.ca website (the “Services”), as further described in Article 3.

Objective. GetSmarterAboutMoney.ca (“GSAM”) is undergoing a major refresh. This includes redevelopment for structure, updated look and feel based on supplied design, and functionality. As part of this refresh, the website’s suite of tools and calculators requires updates to align with the website changes and to ensure they are fully responsive. The OSC’s Investor Office is therefore seeking a web development service provider(s) to re-develop, refresh and update its tools and calculators using designs and wireframes provided by the Investor Office. The respondent will also be required to provide support and assistance with calculation updates and changes. The Investor Office plans to launch a beta version of the updated tools in early March 2017, in advance of a public launch by March 31, 2017. A respondent firm should be able to begin work immediately to meet the launch dates.

In addition to the updating of existing tools and calculators, during the contract term, the OSC may request the selected respondent(s) to develop brand new tools. Preference will be given to respondents who are able to provide calculation and formula assistance services. These services may be subcontracted.
