RFP00010968 - STANDING AGREEMENT FOR CHARTER AIR AMBULANCE SERVICES THUNDER BAY

This Request for Proposals (this “RFP”) is an invitation by Ornge to prospective Proponents to submit
Proposals for the standing agreement for charter air ambulance services (as more specifically
described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix C).
Ornge is seeking to procure charter air ambulance service providers (“Air Operator”) to supplement
its own fleet for patient transfers. Ornge is looking for up to three Air Operators to perform the volume
of work required via the Thunder Bay Airport CYQT. Ornge envisions this base as most effectively
serviced by five Aircraft. The total Guaranteed Hours for this base may be allocated during the
Agreement Negotiation Period of the RFP process. Ornge anticipates that the Guaranteed Hours for
the Thunder Bay Airport CYQT base is up to 3,500 hours with the potential of additional Flight Hours.
Ornge requires the chosen Air Operator/s to be operational by March 18, 2018 or as otherwise agreed
by Ornge.
Ornge provides air and land ambulance services under an agreement with the Ontario Ministry of
Health and Long Term Care (“MOHLTC”).
