Ontario Brain Institute (OBI) is a provincially funded not-for-profit organization maximizing the impact of neuroscience and establishing Ontario as a world leader in brain research, commercialization and care. OBI is dedicated to improving brain health by supporting collaborative research, commercialization of neurotechnologies and strengthening key partnerships and programs.
OBI also has a foundation, the Ontario Brain Institute Foundation (OBIF), which is a public foundation set up with the purpose of funding qualified donees (i.e. academic and treatment centres) in Canada and a mandate to further brain and neuroscience research and the education and training of brain and neuroscience researchers.
OBI is seeking a professional audit services company to prepare an audit plan, perform an audit of the financial statements of OBI and OBIF, compile NPO and Charity tax returns, provide the audited financial statements of OBI in both French and English. Auditors will attend the Audit Committee meeting to present the audit plan and the Audit Findings Report, as well as to address questions concerning the audited financial statements. Attendance at the Board meeting to address the audited financial statements may also be required. Additional services may include tax advice and a review of internal controls (beyond what is required during the audit process).
Services are required for the period of February 15, 2022, and going to July 31, 2024, with an option to renew for 2 more years under the same terms and conditions.
