Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) for SOURCE-LIST for CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTORS (MULTIPLE TRADES)
The Canadian Museum of History is calling for Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ) from local Contractors to become pre-qualified to be on a Source List (SL) for eventual work required either at the Canadian Museum of History (CMH) building, located at 100 Laurier, Gatineau, Quebec, or the Canadian War Museum (CWM) located at 1, Vimy Place, Ottawa, Ontario.
The Intent of the Museum is to establish one (1) SL for the CMH and another for the CWM for each specialized trade.
The objective of this RFPQ is to preselect a number of Contractors who will be placed on an SL to provide services on an “as and when required” basis for a period of three (3) years from the date of establishment of the SL. If mutually agreeable between the Contractor(s) and the Museum, the SL may be extended for up to two additional one-year periods.
This procurement is subject to Chapter 5 of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA)
Most of the Call-ups under the SL are expected to be valued between $10,000.00 and $25,000.00. The Call-up process will be per the following:
- For Call-ups estimated at less than $10,000: Only one (1) Contractor may be invited.
- For Call-ups between $10,000 and $24,999: The Museum may invite more than one (1) Contractor.
- For Call-ups between $25,000 and $99,999: The Museum may invite three (3) Contractors.
- For Call-ups between $100,000 and $299,999: The Museum will invite all the pre-qualified Contractors.The SLs have no limited values; however, an SL is not a commitment to spend any amount.

It is anticipated that the Source List will be in place for a duration of 3 years from the date of award. Refer to the procurement documents for further details.
To be considered, bids must be received at the address indicated above, or as requested in the QPP documents, before the closing date and time indicated in the MERX ad; refer to the documents of the DPQ for more details.
Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Bids on the forms that are available through MERX or as directed in the procurement documents.
Bids may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
