Description

The Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) invites firms to submit a Proposal for the following: To act as the Contractor for the WCB's parking lot upgrade project, at 333 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba, in accordance with a CCDC 2-2020 Stipulated Price Contract.

Description of Services

The WCB is upgrading its parking lot areas at 333 Broadway in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The parking lot areas consist of two (2) components, a smaller visitor/contractor lot and a larger staff lot, both on the north side of the WCB's office building located at 333 Broadway. This project will have to be completed in two (2) phases in order to maintain half of the visitor/contractor lot and half of the staff lot as open and functional, throughout the entire project duration. The delivery loading zone and wheelchair access will have to be maintained throughout the project either at their permanent locations or by using temporary measures.

The Work shall be performed in accordance with the following documents (Project Manual also contain the administrative requirements including, but not limited to, Supplementary Conditions for the CCDC 2-2020), prepared by ft3 for Project No. 21.584, included with this RFP on MERX:

-Project Manual, Commission Number 21.584;
-Geotechnical Investigation Report, prepared by Trek Geotechnical Inc. (dated March 6, 2023) referenced as an appendix to the Project Manual; and
-21582 Drawings IFC SIGNED.

On a constant basis throughout the Work the Contractor will have an adequate number of personnel on site to successfully coordinate the Work and communicate with the building designated representatives to ensure full adherence with filling request forms for shutdowns, access time lines, fire access/control, and all other such notices required to be managed within the project. Major noise restrictions are in place at 333 Broadway from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (excluding statutory holidays and weekends).

The Contractor shall report directly to Juan Bernardo Santos, WCB Project Manager (204-954-4072), jsantos@wcb.mb.ca. The Contractor shall not take direction from other WCB staff except where there is another individual specifically designated.

The Contractor will be required to work collaboratively with ft3 as the Consultant for this project.

Vendors must attend onsite for a mandatory walk-through inspection of the subject parking areas and basement areas where electrical infrastructure piping will emerge from the parking lot areas at the WCB head office located at 333 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba (the "Mandatory Onsite Visit"). The WCB will provide one (1) Mandatory Onsite Visit on Thursday, December 7, 2023, commencing at 11:00 a.m. MB Time, starting in the 333 Broadway office lobby. Due to restricted access throughout the building and the need to provide all Vendors with the same information, late arrivals will not be allowed to catch up with the group once the group has left the office lobby. Vendors that have a representative attend the Mandatory Onsite Visit will be required to have their attending representatives sign a "Pledge of Confidentiality & Restriction on Use of Information" due to possible contact with WCB confidential information during the Mandatory Onsite Visit. Vendors should confirm in advance with Juan Bernardo Santos, WCB Project Manager (204-954-4072), jsantos@wcb.mb.ca, if they plan to attend.
