A pre-bid site visit will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2021.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The building is described as a 6000 square foot concrete block and wood structure originally constructed in 1952. Exterior cladding of metal and painted concrete masonry block with a wood truss roof system covered with metal roofing constructed over built-up roofing. The bulk of the building reflects bays for vehicle storage with the balance of the building reflecting two stories and serving as office, boardroom and storage space with more storage and a residential unit on the second floor. There is no basement or crawl space. Having been replaced with a new fire hall, this building has exceeded its useful life and is no longer required.
Contractor to provide all labour, materials, equipment, accessories, etc. as required for the demolition of the building at 417 First Avenue as per specifications, terms and conditions, including removal of foundation and restoration of property. All safety regulations shall be adhered to, and all necessary precautions shall be taken to protect the workers, the public, and both public and private properties.
The building is no longer serviced. Contractor will be responsible to provide temporary electrical supply and water to accommodate work and meet specifications.
