The Chief and Council of the York Factory First Nation are calling tenders for construction of a water treatment plant upgrade to the existing water treatment plant in the York Factory First Nation community in York Landing, Manitoba. The site is accessible by air year-round, by winter road or by barge (summer only).
Sealed tenders will be received up to 11:00 a.m. (prevailing Winnipeg time) on February 13, 2019 at the office of JR Cousin Consultants Ltd. (JRCC), 91A Scurfield Blvd. Winnipeg, MB.
Works generally include:
Upgrading and expanding the existing Water Treatment Plant consisting of: adding 183 m3 of reservoir capacity, adding 98 m2 of wood frame building, replacing exterior finish on the existing building, installing an 611 m3/day UF/NF surface water treatment system, chemical feed replacement (purchase of new treatment and chemical fee equipment has been pre-arranged), UV disinfection, distribution pumping system replacement, electrical service replacement, genset, existing building modifications, exterior piping modifications, and mechanical and electrical related works.
A pre-tender meeting will be held onsite on January 30, 2019. Contractors wishing to reserve a seat on a pre-arranged charter flight are to confirm attendance to the project manager (Sheldon Sauve - sheldon@pmgroup.ca - 204-949-5156) by 12:00 pm noon on January 28, 2019. A limited number of seats are available, and contractors are responsible to pay their portion of the charter costs.
