Description

The Sachigo Lake First Nation is proceeding with a Water Treatment Plant upgrade project within the community. The scope of work consists of:

Water treatment plant upgrade including installation of pre-purchased SEUZ UF membrane treatment equipment. The equipment consists of 2 independent skids, each with a water treatment capacity of 665 cubic metres per day. The water treatment equipment has already been delivered to the community.
Renovations to water treatment plant interior including, significant demolition and wall relocations. The existing building footprint is 13.7 m x 15.5 m.
Replacement of most mechanical and electrical systems inside the water treatment plant.
Installation of a pre-purchased 150 kW Generac genset in a skin tight outdoor enclosure. The Genset has already been delivered to the community
Upgrading of the raw water low lift station pumping system

Works are expected to be tendered in September 2019 and construction is expected to be completed by summer 2020. The goal of the project is to lift the existing boil water advisory (BWA) as a priority, followed by the completion of the water treatment plant upgrade. The project will have an interim milestone date of February 2020 to lift the BWA.
