D3.          SCOPE OF SERVICES

D3.1        The services required under this Contract shall consist of providing engineering 
services for the renewal of water mains, as identified in D3.2 and Table A in Appendix B as well as 
the Location Map in Appendix C; in accordance with the following:
(a)   Preliminary Engineering;
(b)   Design and Specification Development;
(c)    Contract Document Preparation;
(d)   Procurement Process;
(e)   Resident Construction Services;
(f)    Non-Resident Construction Services; and
(g)   Post Construction Services.

D3.2        The Services required under D3.1 shall be in accordance with the City’s Project 
Management Manual

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Consultant is being engaged by the City for its professional 
expertise; the Consultant shall bring to the Project Manager’s attention any aspect of the City’s 
Project Management Manual or templates which the Consultant is of the opinion is not consistent 
with good industry practice.

D3.3        The scope and limit of the work include:
(a)   Ashland Avenue – the renewal of the 150mm water main from Osborne Street to Eccles Street 
with a 150mm PVC water main.
(b)   Balfour Avenue – the renewal of the 150mm water main from Fisher Street to Eccles Street with 
a 150mm PVC water main.
(c)    Clare Avenue – the renewal of the 200mm water main from Osborne Street to Casey Street with 
a 200mm PVC water main.
(d)   Hay Street – a new 200mm PVC water main from Ashland Avenue to Clare Avenue.
(e)   Fisher Street – the renewal of the 200mm water main from Ashland Avenue to Balfour 00mm PVC 
water main.
