D2. SCOPE OF WORK

D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of Wet Demolition and removal of
materials of 694 Sherbrook Street as per Specification 240-2024_ Hazmat SOW 694 Sherbrook St.pdf
prepared by Pinchin Ltd. dated March 6, 2024.
(a) The Contractor must notify the Workplace Safety and Health Director’s Office at least 5
Business Days before beginning the Work to alter or demolish the building structure that contains
Asbestos Containing Materials that may release into the atmosphere as per Regulation 37.8(2). The
Contractor must also supply the Contract Administrator the Workplace Safety and Health Tracking
number information for our records a minimum of Two (2) Business Days prior to starting onsite.
(b) Should demolition be completed by October 31, 2024, Contractor to return to site on or around
May 15, 2025 to regrade and backfill the site as required to accommodate settlement of the site
over the winter.

D2.2 Further to C6, the City has arranged to have the gas and hydro connections disconnected
and meters removed by others.

B3. SITE INVESTIGATION

B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Contract Administrator or an authorized representative will be
available at the Site at 9:00 am on March 20th, 2024 to provide Bidders access to the Site.

B3.2 The Bidder shall not be entitled to rely on any information or interpretation received
at the Site investigation unless that information or interpretation is the Bidder’s direct
observation, or is provided by the Contract Administrator in writing.

B3.3 The Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to be done
and all conditions that might affect their Bid or their performance of the Work, and shall assume
all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have been or could have
been determined through such inspection.
