D4. SCOPE OF WORK

D4.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
Renewal and Rehabilitation Sites
(a) Bredin Drive Outfall (S-MA40005212)
(i) Removal and replacement of (+/-) 2.5 m of existing 900 mm diameter CMP with (+/-)
2.5 m of 900 mm diameter CMP (2.8mm) c/w polymer coating
(ii) Supply and Installation of 10.1 m - 690 ID HDPE Spiral Wound Pipe Liner
(iii) Supply and Installation of Temporary Shoring
(iv) Construction of a new reinforced concrete collar
(v) Sewer Cleaning
(vi) Removal and Re-Installation of existing 900 mm diameter debris grate
(vii) Installation of rockfill riprap
(viii) Sewer Inspection
(ix) Site Restoration
(b) Southboine Drive Outfall (S-MA60001608)
(i) Removal of (+/-) 2.4 m of existing 525 mm diameter Conc and (+/-) 2.0 m of existing 600 CMP
and replacing with (+/-) 4.4 m of 600 mm diameter CMP (2.8mm) c/w polymer coating
(ii) Removal of (+/-) 9.3 m of existing 600 CMP and replacing with (+/-) 6.7 m of 600 mm
diameter CMP (2.8mm) c/w polymer coating
(iii) Supply and Installation of Temporary Shoring
(iv) Connection of 600 CMP to existing manhole
(v) Patching existing manhole (as required)
(vi) Construction of two (2) new reinforced concrete collars
(vii) Installation of 600 mm diameter debris grate
(viii) Installation of rockfill riprap
(ix) Sewer Inspection
(x) Site Restoration
(c) Uxbridge Road South Outfall (S-MA70031497)
(i) Removal and abandonment of existing 350 mm diameter PVC outfall and 900 mm diameter CMP
outfall with lightweight cellular fill
(ii) Repair of sinkhole with lightweight cellular fill
(iii) Supply and Installation of Temporary Shoring
(iv) Installation of (+/-) 20.6 m of 1050 mm diameter CMP (2.8mm) c/w polymer coating and 1050
mm diameter 45 degree bend end section c/w polymer coating
(v) Supply and Installation of 1800 mm diameter manhole (SD-010)
(vi) Connect existing 750 mm diameter conc and new 1050 mm diameter CMP to new manhole
(vii) Installation of 1050 mm diameter debris grate
(viii) Installation of rockfill riprap
(ix) Removal and replacement of concrete embankment slab
(x) Sewer Inspection
(xi) Site Restoration

(i) HDD Outfall Cleaning
(ii) Additional standard sewer cleaning (as required) and CCTV inspection of outfall
(iii) Removal and re-installation of existing 1800 mm diameter debris grate
(iv) Site Restoration
(e) Tylehurst Street Outfall (S-MA20020018)
(i) Standard sewer cleaning and CCTV inspection of outfall
(ii) Installation of 2300 mm diameter debris grate
(iii) Site Restoration
(f) Churchill Drive/Osborne Street Outfall (S-MA70006325)
(i) HDD Outfall Cleaning
(ii) Additional standard sewer cleaning (as required) and CCTV inspection of outfall
(iii) Installation of 1800 mm diameter debris grate
(iv) Site Restoration
(g) Southbridge Drive Outfall (S-MA70012111)
(i) HDD Outfall Cleaning
(ii) Additional standard sewer cleaning (as required) and CCTV inspection of outfall
(iii) Removal and re-installation of existing debris grate
(iv) Site Restoration
(h) Rivergate Drive Outfall (S-MA70053500)
(i) HDD Outfall Cleaning
(ii) Additional standard sewer cleaning (as required) and CCTV inspection of outfall
(iii) Installation of 1400 mm diameter debris grate

D4.2 The following shall apply to the Work:

B3 SITE INVESTIGATION
B3.1 The Bidder may view the Sites on their own without making an appointment, however access is
constrained to the City owned right-of-ways and easement extents identified on the Drawings.
Bidders may not trespass on private property.

B3.2 The Bidder shall not be entitled to rely on any information or interpretation received at the Site
investigation unless that information or interpretation is the Bidder’s direct observation, or is
provided by the Contract Administrator in writing.

B3.3 The Bidder/Proponent is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to be done and
all conditions that might affect their Bid/Proposal or their performance of the Work, and shall
assume all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have been or
could have been determined through such inspection.
