With this Request for Proposals (“RFP”), the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (“CMHR”) is soliciting proposals from experienced and qualified suppliers for the fabrication of the necessary crates required for the safe transport of the exhibitry, graphics, and artefacts a the CMHRS travelling Mandela exhibition. The contract would also include the actual crating of the exhibition on site at the CMHR at the completion of the exhibition’s run in Winnipeg, MB, Canada.
BACKGROUND
The Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) developed a 5000 square foot exhibition entitled Mandela: Struggle for Freedom, designed to tour nationally and potentially to the USA, for up to three years following its presentation at the CMHR. Crating proposed must meet standards for international travel. The Proponent should advise on the materials and other defining requirements for international travel. The exhibition features traditional displays of artefacts within built casework, as well as scenography, digital interactives, video, projections, other AV and IT equipment, soundscapes, programming activities, and large graphic panels.
The CMHR is seeking an experienced Supplier to fabricate the necessary crates, and to crate the exhibition following its run at the CMHR, as required for the safe transport of the exhibitry, graphics, and artefacts.
