Brandon University requests proposals to review the investment management of the following entities.Organizations are invited to submit a proposal for either or both requests, in accordance with your resources. The contracts will be issued separately, and may be both issued to the same consultant firm, in accordance with the submissions that best meets Brandon University's needs. The details are included in this RFP attached two documents and you can rely on those requirements displayed.
Brandon University is located in Brandon, Manitoba. Established in 1899, it offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in Arts, Science, Education, Health Studies, and Music. It is Provincially regulated public university.
The Brandon University Foundation became active in 1990 and currently holds an investment portfolio of trust and endowment funds valued at over $70 million. It has been actively managed by the same firm for more than 20 years.
The Brandon University Retirement Plan was established in 1974 and is the only pension fund for Brandon University employees. The Plan is a final average, contributory, defined benefit, trusteed pension plan that is Provincially regulated. The fund has a value in excess of $200 million and has been actively managed by the same firm for more than 20 years.
The reason for the reviews at this time is primarily a fiduciary responsiblity for a periodic objective look at the management of the funds and fund managers to ensure they are being managed well and in the best interests of the people they serve.
