Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the removal of two (2) offshore mooring dolphins at the docking facility in North Sydney, NS.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry docking site in North Sydney, Nova Scotia.

The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the removal of two (2) offshore concrete caisson structures. The structures were built in 1965 and currently serve no purpose for Marine Atlantic's current operations. The structures measure approximately 12mx 12m each and are concrete caisson/crib construction, with 9 cells per caisson (the cells are rock filled).

More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

Demolition and removal of reinforced concrete top slab and associated bollards, ladders, fenders, concrete poles, treated timber and other ancillary components.
Demolition and removal of reinforced concrete caisson walls and concrete base slab.
Demolition and removal of rock mattress overlying bedrock in the footprint of the caissons.
Supply, installation and maintenance of a silt curtain and containment boom during all demolition activities.
Disposal of all demolition debris at an approved waste facility.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A site visit will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 9:30 AM Nova Scotia Time, at the site in North Sydney, NS. There will be no access to the dolphins during the site visit, and all observations will be limited to viewing from shore.

The closing for receipt of tenders will be 1400 hours Nova Scotia Time, Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.
This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication.
Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.

Marine Atlantique S.C.C. invite des vendeurs qualifiés à retirer deux (2) ducs-d’Albe d’amarrage extracôtiers au quai de North Sydney (Nouvelle-Écosse).

Retrait de ducs-d’Albe d’amarrage – North Sydney (Nouvelle-Écosse)

Le projet est situé au quai de Marine Atlantique à North Sydney (Nouvelle-Écosse).

Les travaux comprennent généralement, mais ne se limitent pas nécessairement au retrait de deux (2) caissons de béton extracôtiers. Les structures ont été construites en 1965 et ne sont actuellement d’aucune utilité dans le cadre des opérations actuelles de Marine Atlantique. Chaque structure mesure environ 12 m x 12 m et est un caisson de béton, avec 9 cellules par caisson (les cellules sont remplies de roche).

Plus précisément, les travaux comprennent principalement ce qui suit, mais ne s’y limite pas nécessairement :

Démolition et retrait de la dalle supérieure en béton armé, et des bollards, des échelles, des défenses, des poteaux en béton, du bois traité et d’autres composantes auxiliaires connexes.
Démolition et retrait des murs de caisson en béton armé et de la dalle-support en béton.
Démolition et retrait du lit de pierre recouvrant le substratum rocheux dans l’empreinte des caissons.
Fourniture, installation et entretien d’un filtre à limon et d’un barrage flottant pendant les activités de démolition.
Élimination de tous les débris de démolition dans une installation de traitement des déchets approuvée.

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d’accepter les soumissions dans leur totalité ou en partie. La soumission au plus faible coût ou n’importe quelle soumission ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.

Une visite du site aura lieu le jeudi 16 décembre 2021, à 9 h 30 (heure de la Nouvelle-Écosse), au site à North Sydney (Nouvelle-Écosse). Il n’y aura pas d’accès aux ducs-d’Albe pendant la visite du site, et toutes les observations seront limitées à l’observation à partir du rivage.

La date limite pour la réception des soumissions sera de 14 h (heure de la Nouvelle-Écosse), le jeudi 6 janvier 2022.

Les propositions doivent être soumises par voie électronique à l’aide du système de soumissions par voie électronique (EBS) de MERX.
Seules les réponses soumises de cette manière seront prises en compte. Les propositions ne seront pas prises en compte si elles sont soumises par télécopieur, par courriel ou par d’autres moyens de communication ouverts.
Les propositions doivent être reçues avant la date et l’heure de clôture. Les propositions tardives ne seront pas prises en compte.
