The new Saddle Lake K-6 School will provide a safe, enabling and nurturing environment for students and staff, regardless of their individual challenges. The building will provide a variety of educational opportunities for the students, teachers, staff and administration. This facility also allows for community integration in a building that is inviting and culturally relevant to those who visit. The building area will be 4,324 sm for 533 students. The scope of work includes site development of school grounds and permanent road access/parking lot.
The new school design accommodates 21st Century Learning, which focuses on embracing technologies, innovation and connecting learning to local and global communities that create a space for students to interact throughout. The building provides a variety of educational opportunities for the students, teachers, staff, administration, and community. This facility also allows for community integration in a building that is inviting and culturally relevant to those who visit.
