As the shared services provider for information technology (“IT”) to the Canada Post Group of Companies, Innovapost is requesting proposals for a Managed Mobility Service (MMS) solution.
The majority of business units within the Canada Post Group of Companies (CPGC) are leveraging advancements in Mobile Device technology, whether they use smart phones, tablets or portable data terminals (PDTs). These Mobile Devices are used to enable employees and to improve service to our consumers. Advancements in this technology area enable improvements in tracking, real time updates to corporate systems and direct contact with supervisors, peers and clients.
As Mobile Devices continue to increase in capability and adoption, their presence within the CPGC environment has become an integral part of how we conduct business.
The support of our Mobile Devices involves a complex ecosystem of technology, processes and support teams to:
- Acquire the Mobile Devices and induct them into the supply chain
- Connect the devices to the applications and ensure data is securely transmitted
- Support the devices and the users when an application or device malfunctions
- Ensure business units can add new devices
- Report on volumes, use and pay invoices
