This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is an invitation by the Independent Electricity System Operator (the “IESO”) to prospective Proponents to submit proposals for consulting services to assist the IESO in identifying appropriate transmission design standards within the context of the development of a competitive process for new transmission infrastructure in Ontario, as further described in Section 2 of Appendix C – IESO Information & Requirements (the "Deliverables"), for a period of six (6) months. The IESO may, in its discretion, extend the Term for one (1) additional six (6) month period.
The objective of this RFP is to retain a consultant who will assist IESO staff in identifying appropriate transmission design standards within the context of the development of a competitive process for new transmission infrastructure in Ontario. The consultant will work directly with IESO staff to build the IESO’s in-house capabilities around specifying standards for the design, operation, and maintenance of transmission facilities, including regional considerations.
