RFP 205 - External Auditor Services and Non-Audit Services

The Independent Electricity System Operator (the “IESO”) is seeking qualified Service Provider(s) that are able to perform external independent auditor services and non-audit services including taxation and advisory services.

This RFP seeks a qualified Service Provider to perform the following general services:

• Provide the required services as an independent auditor as defined by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario;
• Report directly to the IESO’s Audit Committee regarding any audit services or audit engagements; and
• Each fiscal year, express an opinion(s) on audited financial statement(s) based on an independent audit conducted in accordance with Canadian generally accepted auditing standards. 

• Report directly to the IESO’s Chief Financial Officer or delegate regarding any related engagements;
• Provide related services, including but not limited to:
  • Canadian taxation services;
  • United States of America taxation services;
  • assistance with the preparation of non-audited financial statements;
  • recommendations to improve financial internal controls;
  • consulting services.
