Description

The Town of Essex is located in southwestern Ontario, approximately twenty-eight (28) kilometres southeast of the City of Windsor and is one of seven (7) lower‐tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The Town of Essex consists of four (4) distinct and unique Centres — Essex Centre, Colchester, Harrow and McGregor. The current population of the Town of Essex is 20,427.
In 2022 a Proponent completed a detailed element by element visual assessment of the Town of Essex bridges and culverts as outlined in the Ontario Structure Inspection Manual. Material defects, performance deficiencies, and maintenance needs of each structure were identified. As a result, the Town of Essex is seeking proposals from qualified Proponents to complete Engineering Services for three Bridge Rehabilitation Sites within the Town of Essex as outlined in this Request for Proposal.
