1-1002-2-534 - GC for SPU Renovation - Social Innovation Workshop

As part of this project, the University is specifically targeting approximately 5,500 square-feet of the Laframboise Hall basement space which leads onto Clegg Street. The project includes selective demolition of existing systems and a full renovation of the basement and both of its access points, together with some landscape and civil work. The interior of the future Social Innovation Workshop space will need to be brought up to new standards with a proper HVAC system, life safety systems and new lighting and controls. A new floor slab and sub-grade, new windows, repair of existing plaster finishes are all upgrades planned for the interior.  New spaces to be constructed within the basement include a reception area, vestibule, 2 new washrooms, 3 meeting rooms, a lunch area with kitchenette and storage areas. New partitions include gypsum partitions with bulkheads, together with aluminum screens and 3 interior overhead doors.  There are also some accent finishes including barn board to be installed and millwork
