17-0038 - Villeneuve Airport Land Servicing Project

Edmonton Regional Airports Authority (“Edmonton Airports”) is inviting qualified contractors to submit a bid for site servicing at Villeneuve Airport, including the installation of a new infrastructure to accommodate future expansion at the airport.  The work includes water and sanitary main installation; extension of the roadway network; culvert installation; security fencing.  Work will be allocated in three work packages as follows:
 

• WORK PACKAGE 1: Stage 1 & 2 – Range Road 271 Extension and Land Development
  • This stage involves the Range Road 271 work, which includes earthwork, pavement, culverts, ditches, new PSL works and pavement markings.   The substantial completion of the remaining components of this stage is August 31, 2017.
  • This stage also includes land development servicing (water main, sanitary sewer main, hydrants, valves, and connections). The substantial completion of the land development servicing to the south boundary of Lot 2B is August 15, 2017.

• WORK PACKAGE 2: Stage 3 – Lot 14 Development – New Culvert Installation
  • This stage involves the installation of culverts at Lot 14, earthworks, pavement, and pavement markings.  This area has operational constraints, which permits only night installation between the hours of 20:00 Local Time and 06:00 Local Time.  The area requires that the asphalt be placed at the end of each shift.  Substantial completion date within twenty (20) days of authorization to proceed by Edmonton Airports.  
• WORK PACKAGE 3: Range Road 271 Extension (OPTIONAL)This stage involves a further extension to the range road 271, which includes earthwork, pavement, culverts, ditches, new PSL works and pavement markings. The substantial completion of the remaining components of this stage is August 31, 2017.
