Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors and sub-contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
This project is comprised of the removal and replacement of nine existing natural gas fired boilers in which six boilers are for hydronic heating and three boilers are for radiant floor heating.
Description of the Services
Contractor to remove existing boilers, venting, combustion air intakes and supply and install replacement boilers, venting, combustion air intake, all associated electrical and controls for the boilers. The rough order of magnitude value of the contract is $1,600,000. It is anticipated that this procurement will be initiated in Spring, 2022. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND.
Security Requirements
Contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Sub-contractors will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors and sub-contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: https://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/industry/security-requirements. Contractors and sub-contractors are asked to submit their request prior to December 22, 2021 quoting the following information:
- Contract number PF 1500115397A; and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
