Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of potential projects with anticipated security requirements to provide interested consultants and contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that these projects will proceed.
Description of the Project
The Construction Program will consist of multi-trade and single trade, construction projects of varying sizes and complexity. The program may include, but is not limited to new construction, repair, and renovations of Department of National Defence (DND) infrastructure in support of Canadian Forces Operations. Additional technical services supporting the program may also include, but not limited to land surveying, materials testing, architectural and engineering services, geological and environmental studies.
Overall value of the projects listed below is estimated at approximately $21,000,000.00 with the maximum value of any individual project estimated at $3,900,000.
Description of the Services
The program will consist of construction projects that may include, but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Demolition of various building / sites
- Construction / renovations of various buildings
- Building envelope repairs of various buildings (i.e. roof repairs)
- Mechanical and electrical upgrades in various buildings
- Construction of earthworks and civil projects (i.e. road repairs)
- Building T83 Upgrades and Retrofit
- New Prefabricated Building
- renovation of various buildings (includes mechanical, electrical, structural and communications work)
It is anticipated that the procurement for these projects will be initiated during the period of April 2019 through to March 2020. This is conditional on the project(s) receiving approval to proceed by DND.
Security Requirements
For these contracts, Contractors and Consultants will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Sub-contractors and sub-consultants will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS) issued or approved by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors and Consultants that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting proposals/bids for procurements that fall under this program can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html.
