The intent of this project is to complete a comprehensive investigation of the current roofing systems and rainwater drainage piping of the building mentioned in the RFP.
440 Kent Street, Lindsay:
•Courthouse (B10991); two-story red brick structure, originally constructed in 1962; tenants include the Ministry of the Attorney General (includes several courts and an in-house detention area), MOH 911 Call Ctr, and other ministry and municipal POA court.
Existing Roof: There are three main roof areas: the upper level that covers the second floor and part of the main floor, the second level is 18353 SF (built-up cold applied membrane), and the lower of the two roof is broken into two different roof coverings: the largest area is 15728 SF (built-up cold applied membrane) and the second area is 2981 SF (modified bitumen roof membrane).
•Courtroom #6 (B92070); modular courtroom; originally constructed in 2008, is situated on the North-West end of the Lindsay Courthouse
Existing Roof: Single ply roofing membrane.
•Garage (B10994); single-story garage structure, originally constructed in 1962, is situated to the east of the Lindsay Courthouse and orientated north and south
Existing Roof: Built up roofing (BUR), the system is complete with a gravel ballast.
3028 Highway 35, Lindsay:
•OPP (Ontario Provincial Police) detachment (B92339); originally constructed in 2014; is located on the northwest extents of the property N00665.
Existing Roof: White Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO).
The study is to determine the condition of the roofs as there have been leaks in multiple locations. Budgetary cost will be itemized in the report to, minimally, include materials, labor, demolition and mobilization costs (i.e. equipment rentals, scaffolding etc.). Consultant shall complete the Recommended Needs Template (RNT) including Uniformat, Project Name, Estimated Cost, Priority (P1-P5) and Delivery Year. Consultant to propose options for new roof covering material.
